Hammer Crusher

A hammer crusher reduces material by repeated impact from hammers mounted on a rotating assembly. The material is broken as it is struck and forced against internal breaker or liner surfaces.

Applications

Hammer crushers are used in suitable mineral and industrial applications where the material properties are compatible with impact wear. Their suitability for granite or other highly abrasive rock should be evaluated carefully because wear rates can be significant.

Depending on the process, hammer crushing may be used as a primary or secondary size-reduction stage. Final selection should be based on feed size, abrasiveness, target product and required capacity.
